Make the world your adventure! I'm a vegan food fanatic. I love painting and taking photos along with making things out of clay. My hands are my tools for everything and without them I'd be lost. Have a nice bright day and don't forget to love those around you. STAY CREATIVE!
Currently, I am preparing to take my comprehensive exams. This means that I spend most of my time reading lots of different texts. I have to be honest even though I am rereading most of these texts I don’t always comprehend and retain, so I like to highlight. Problem is most highlighters are not recyclable or reusable. What’s a nerdy girl to do? After a little google searching I discovered dry highlighters. They are sort of a colored pencil type formulation. As the highlighters I currently own were getting dried up (I’ve gone through 4 in a month, it’s really a lot of reading) I decided purchase this sustainable alternative. I just need to find out if I can composte the shavings. I already attempted a search at Staples which was quite unsuccessful. The manager said he had never heard of such a thing. So I will check out the stationary store. At stationary stores, one can often find writing tools without packaging. Then a religious bookstore, dry highlighters are often used in bibles because they do not bleed though the thin pages. Lastly, the art supply store. If I cannot find them locally at all then I will have to resort to ordering them online. I do not want to order them because of the increased carbon footprint to get them to me and the extra packaging I will get, also I need them immediately because my last highlighter is dying and I have oodles to read.
